Planting for Special Greening Purpose

Strong and healthy seedlings raised in the nurseries for at least 2-year is used for special greening activities. The following planting activities are carried out under this category by developing the annual action plans.

(a) Instant trees planting

(b) Woodlot planting

(c) Contour bund planting

(d) Supplementary planting

(e) Gap planting in natural forest conservation areas.

The following table shows the accomplishment of planting for special greening purpose across three regions from 2010-2011 to 2018-2019 fiscal year.
